Open regedit ( Go to start>Run and type in regedit) .
- Browse to the location HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT>Network>Sharing Handler.
- Open the default icon by double clicking it.
- In the value data textbox the default value is ntshrui.dll.
- Erase this value to leave the space blank.
- Restart your PC and see the change in the icon of your shared drives.
